Help me to understand!

I am arriving in Greece on a tourist visa, my parents' house is here, I also have an AFM. I want to buy a bike to go grocery shopping and to the beach. As far as I understand, mopeds up to 50cc do not need to be registered, but do they need insurance? Tell me, can I buy a moped up to 50cc and not register it here? Were I able to complete the transaction and what do I need for this?

1) First tell us where you live, if you travel with ship or train, you can take the moped with you, but you wont be able to take it with you by diving it , those mopeds cant drive too long, you may damage the engine. 2) Mopeds needs registration in Greece and also insurance. 3) You must have AFM (spelling: afimi) and your id then find a moto dealler-seller for new vehicle, or for used moto go here in the site.
